Action Methods Consultation Group

Overview:  This consultation group will explore members’ questions and concerns about applying action methods in their settings of choice. We expect to address issues such as:

Ways to introduce and explain the rationale for using action methods in individual and group settings.

Strategies for helping clients and group members become ready for and warm up to psychodrama, sociodrama, and sociometry and related experiential methods.

Considerations for selecting appropriate action methods to advance particular therapeutic and educational goals.

Strategies for working with challenges in applying action methods in individual and/or group settings.

Other concerns raised by consultation group members.

During each two-hour session, group members will have the opportunity to raise questions for consultation by the group leaders and other group members.  We will use action methods to identify, assess, and practice solutions to issues group members are facing in their current practice.
