Collaborators Award
Linda Ciotola MEd, CET III, TEP and Nancy Alexander, LCSW-C are the recipients of the 2019 ASGPP Collaborators Award.
The Collaborators Award is presented annually, when appropriate, to members of the ASGPP either in pairs or in teams, whose work over time has made a contribution to the learning and practice of psychodrama, sociometry and/or group psychotherapy, and whose modeling of collaborative roles deserves to be brought to the attention of their peers.
“Nancy Alexander and Linda Ciotola have exemplified outstanding collaboration over a period of many years. Their efforts have been of substantial benefit to numerous psychotherapy clients, and they have undertaken the work of documenting their model so other clinicians and their patients might benefit. This pair’s ground-breaking use of cutting-edge technology represents a promising new approach to introducing a new audience to psychodrama with the intention of encouraging viewers to pursue psychodrama training. In this way, Linda and Nancy are reaching out to a potential new generation of psychodramatists to carry Moreno’s vision and methodology forward. Nancy Alexander and Linda Ciotola are certainly worthy of recognition for their efforts.”
